The Old Hall Ely Ltd – Terms & Conditions for All Parties & Ticketed Events

1. Age Restrictions

All Old Hall Ely Ltd parties and ticketed events are restricted to persons aged 18 years and over, unless explicitly stated otherwise for a specific event. We operate a strict Challenge 25 scheme and reserve the right to request proof of age if any guest appears to be under 25.

2. Pricing & Payment

  • All prices shown on our website, promotional materials, and event brochures include VAT.

  • Full non‑refundable payment is required to confirm your booking and can only be accepted from the Lead Booker.

  • Payments are non-transferable and cannot be used to cover the balance of other guests or be converted into drinks or drinks vouchers.

  • Full payment for bedrooms (if applicable to the event) is required at the time of booking and is non-refundable.

3. Cancellations

  • Cancellations must be made in writing by the Lead Booker.

  • We cannot accept cancellations by telephone.

  • All payments received are strictly non-refundable.

4. Menu Choices (If Applicable)

Some Old Hall Ely Ltd events include a food selection. Where this applies:

  • A menu choice will be required for each guest, with vegetarian alternatives and special dietary menus available on request.

  • Menu selections must be submitted no later than 3 weeks prior to the event.

  • If menu choices are not received by the deadline, the standard menu will be served.

  • The Old Hall Ely Ltd reserves the right to amend or substitute menu items in the event of supply shortages.

5. Table Plans & Seating

  • Due to ongoing changes in event configurations, table allocations will not be confirmed until the day of the event.

  • If a menu pre-order is required, the order in which guest names are submitted will determine the seating order.

  • Name place cards will be set by The Old Hall Ely Ltd in accordance with the submitted pre-order and cannot be altered or moved on the event day.

6. Admission & Conduct

The Old Hall Ely Ltd reserves the right to:

  • Refuse admission to any guest.

  • Remove any person whose behaviour, in the opinion of our staff, interferes or is likely to interfere with the enjoyment of the event by others.

We accept no responsibility for any person refused entry or asked to leave due to their conduct.

7. Event Changes & Force Majeure

  • The Old Hall Ely Ltd reserves the right to amend, alter, or cancel all or part of an event programme.

  • We will not accept liability for errors, omissions, or cancellations.

  • Dates and timings are subject to licensing approval.

  • The Old Hall Ely Ltd reserves the right to cancel the event should a Force Majeure Event occur.

  • We shall not be liable for non-completion of the event or delays arising as a result of such events.

8. Complaints

Any complaint or claim relating to the provision of The Old Hall Ely Ltd facilities during the event must be submitted in writing within 7 days of the event date. We are not obliged to consider complaints received after this period.

9. Liability

The liability of The Old Hall Ely Ltd in respect of any breach of these Terms and Conditions shall not extend to any consequential loss suffered by the client or their guests.

10. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by English Law. In the unlikely event of a dispute, all parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
